"Silences, enveloping spaces, and white spaces are found between the elements, not facing them or across from them. The open space that they create connects interior space with exterior space and reality with imagination. In that open space, we experience what has no form, what cannot be given a name. The silence to which John Cage gave form in 4’33” appears in many forms."
